We hear stories on a day to day basis. Of-course Instagram and TikTok too. Some good, some bad, and some average. occasionally, we identify problems and brainstorm solutions.

We validate our thoughts in diverse environments either with the same set of people or someone new. We refine the thought process , which is the definition of the problem and solution. The whole process boils down to a simple purpose, which is to solve a problem. Design thinking is a practical and human centered approach to solve problems and find efficient solutions.

It begins with EMPATHY.

Design thinking centers the needs and emotions of whose voices are not usually heard. It brings people from various paths of life together under the one meeting room or physical room.

It pulls entrepreneurs out of their own experiences and biases, opening up to new ways of thinking and shining a light on new perspectives. Opportunity to understand pain points and motivations of the those we hope to serve. The process is a months-long undertaking, looking for patterns and solidifying the business case.

However, Humans are complex beings. “Situations change”

How long the designed solution will hold as the system changes is often unpredictable. The solution Designers need to deal with the fact that the solutions are built to address conditions that change in ways that can’t be planned.

Solutions are designed to fulfill the needs of a specific moment in time

The solution designers and customers are equals here, both relying on each other for the success of the collaboration. Design thinking framework provides tools to adapt with continuous change in the systems that can’t be controlled.
